A Distinctive Visual Identity for Made in India

India produces exceptional products – rooted in skill, tradition, and innovation. Yet, Indian-made goods often struggle for visibility amidst imported alternatives, not due to quality but due to the absence of a strong, identifiable symbol.

India is a land of incredible diversity – with dozens of languages, hundreds of dialects, and crores of citizens who may not have had access to formal education. Yet their intent to support the nation is strong. To truly make Vocal for Local inclusive, we must go beyond words and give every Indian a clear visual cue – a symbol that transcends language and literacy. One Nation One Symbol empowers every Indian from Karakoram to Kanyakumari – regardless of language, region, or education – to recognize and choose Indian-made products with pride. Because patriotism needs no translation.

One Nation One Symbol is a visionary citizen-driven initiative to create a single, universally recognized symbol for Made in India products – across sectors and platforms. Like the green dot signifies vegetarian food, this symbol will enable every Indian to make a confident, patriotic, and informed choice while shopping.

A Proven Track Record of Change

In 2020, Savitha Rao, the founder of this initiative, made a compelling appeal to the Government of India – urging a regulation that makes it mandatory for all online listings in India to display the Country of Origin of products. That appeal led to a nationwide regulation that has empowered crores of Indians to make informed shopping choices.

One Nation One Symbol is the next bold step forward – to build on that momentum and establish a Made in India symbol that becomes a household standard, visible on every product, website, and store shelf.

Our Vision

A future where every product made in India carries a distinct, trusted national symbol - instantly recognizable to consumers in India and across the world.

Our Goal

To catalyze government adoption of a national symbol for Made in India and create a mass movement that makes buying Indian a conscious and proud decision for every citizen.
